Pappas Restaurant and Sports Bar

Terrible Birthday Dinner Experience

I made reservations for my wife and I for her birthday 2/23 and I have to say, what a huge disappointment! Service was awful…waiter was slow and very inattentive. Crab cakes were bland and fishy, baked potatoes were lukewarm if that. Filet, while slightly undercooked was tender and tasty. Coleslaw and beers were the highlight of the dinner. Rolls and drinks took over 20 minutes to arrive at the table. Cheesecake to go…need a microscope to find in the containers. At the end of the day, I paid the check, still gave a generous tip to an undeserving server and will think twice if I ever want to give them another try. FYI…asked for Steve, but was conveniently told he was not there. I have my doubts, but honestly just wanted to leave.

Our party was there on the same night and we were treated very poorly by the manager and wait staff. I say unusual because we have been to the Parkville location many times with our party of 7 (sometimes as many as 12) and we’re always happy with the food and service. This night we were forced to leave our table when they cited a 2 hour time limit (never ever have they rushed us out) and the food was mediocre at best and the service was also mediocre at best. We will be looking for alternative restaurants to patronize. Concerns emailed to the manager were met with unprofessional responses.
